Funeral services were 2 p.m. Sunday at Partlow Funeral Chapel in Lebanon. Alan Harris and Chris Harris conducted the funeral services. A private graveside service was to take place today in the Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery in Pegram. Active pallbearers were to be her grandsons.
Contributions may be made in Mrs. Phipps’ memory to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Mrs. Phipps was a member of Adams Avenue Church of Christ and was a homemaker,  seamstress and an excellent baker.  
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marshall and Bessie Louise (Hargrove King); her husband of 72 years, Guy Edward Phipps; three sisters; and her brother.
She is survived by her daughter, Janice Sue Phipps; her brother, William Howard King; her grandson and his wife, Alan and Misty Harris; her granddaughter and her husband, Dana Harris and Anthony Hanson; five great-grandchildren and their spouses, Chris Harris, Tabitha and Brent Reed, Rachel and Timothy Harris, Matthew Hanson and Macy Hanson; and three great-great-grandchildren, Joseph Harris, Samuel Harris and Kora Reed.
