Dora Gooch

Visitation will be from noon-1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna. Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Mapleview Cemetery in Smyrna.
The family requests that donations be made to the Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Fund.
She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Aug. 27, 1924, daughter of the late William Milton and Bertha (Gore) Boone.  
Mrs. Gooch, among many jobs, worked at the Marshall County Senior Citizens Center, where she directed the choir known as the Choralaires. She was a longtime member of Church Street Church of Christ. Following the death of her husband in 1993, Mrs. Gooch made her residence in Troy, near her son and grandchildren. She happily served as a pink lady at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City while there.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Allen C. and Dr. Cynthia Gooch of Troy and Rand and Sandy Gooch of Westminster, Colo.; her grandson, Daniel Gooch of Memphis; and two granddaughters, Rebecca Gooch of Spokane, Wash., and Katherine Gooch of Nashville.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Morton Gooch; and her sister, Bertha Boone.
