Mary Edna Burton

Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with Dr. Melvin Poe officiating. Entombment will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Lennie Burton, Dale Wayne Burton, Mark Burton, Jerry Burton, Will Burton, Alvin Storey and Wayne Orr. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Victory Sunday School Class at Calvary Baptist Church in Union City.
She was born Dec. 1, 1924, in Obion County, daughter of the late Ilus Pinkney and Mattie Lorilla (Hopper) Orr. She married Lemmie Burton March 1, 1940. He died July 26, 2005. She was a farmer and homemaker and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and Victory Sunday School Class.
She is survived by two sons and her daughter-in-law, Ray Burton of Mason Hall and Robert and Linda Burton of Union City; her brother, Kenneth Orr of Hornbeak; seven grandchildren, Mark Burton of Mason Hall, Mechelle Tuck of Goodlettsville, Jerry Glenn Burton of Greenfield and Mitsy Burton, Lennie Oneal Burton, Dale Wayne Burton and Jackie Potter, all of Union City; and six great-grandchildren, Ashley Burton, Hunter Burton and Jewel Rose Potter, all of Union City, Will Burton of Greenfield and Vinson Tuck and Max Tuck, both of Goodlettsville.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Jerry Oneal Burton; her daughter-in-law, Nelda Burton; her granddaughter, Melanie Burton; two sisters, Virginia Rickman and Ruby Heironumous; and her brother, George Orr.
