She will be watching over her four children, Kathy Damesworth of Gleason and Janice Simpson, Ricky Simpson and Mitzie Williams, all of Dyersburg.
“Mamaw” will also be watching over nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Barbara will be meeting her infant daughter, Vanessa Simpson; her husband, James Mooney; her two brothers, Billy and Louis Phillips; and her parents, Ben and Dorothy Phillips, in heaven.
Barbara’s Celebration of Life was held Wednesday in Newbern. Her final message was, “Be happy while you can.”

High Point Funeral Home and Crematorium in Memphis was in charge of arrangements.
