James Alfred Bell

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Tiptonville United Pentecostal Church, with the Rev. Bert Burkett officiating. Burial will follow in Cobb’s Chapel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Friday at White-Ranson Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Shane Glisson, Steve Smith, Mardy Bell, Tony Bell, Ben Phillips and Logan Harris.
The family requests that memorials be made to the church.
He was born June 14, 1936, in Samburg, son of the late William Arthor and Fannie Marie (Baker) Bell. He married the former Lula Mae Drummond Aug. 30, 1957. She died Dec. 8, 1998.
He was the former pastor of Samburg Pentecostal Church and was a member of Tiptonville United Pentecostal Church. He had also worked in construction.
He is survived by two daughters, Angie Phillips and Millette Harris, both of Hornbeak; his son, Robin Arthor Bell of Hornbeak; four grandchildren, Jessica Phillips of Ridgely, Benjamin Phillips of Hornbeak, Brett Harris of Nashville and Shay Harris of Chattanooga; two great-grandchildren, Andrew Phillips and Mason Phillips, both of Hornbeak; four sisters, Norma Tarr and Mary Bell, both of Union City, Vernie Wilson of Michigan and Wanda Busby of Colorado; and his brother, Jimmy Dee Bell of the Shawtown community.
He was also preceded in death by his sister, Hazel Copeland.
