Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with burial following in East View Cemetery. His grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home 5-8 p.m. Thursday.
They request that memorials be made to Union City Second Baptist Church.
He was born July 25, 1943, in Blough, Penn., son of the late Roy and Eula (Thomas) Drenning. He married the former Shirley Rae Harrison Dec. 30, 1968. She died May 13, 2008.
He then married Venita Wallace Jan. 3, 2009. She survives.
He was a retired employee of Chase Fastener Co. in Melrose Park, Ill., where he worked for 22 years and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of Union City Second Baptist Church.
He is also survived by his daughter, Priscilla Polston of Bridgeview, Ill.; three stepdaughters, Leavenia Campbell of Dyer, Shirley Burzynski of Belle Fonte, Penn., and Sandy Comstock of Rutherford; his granddaughter, Cheyenne Brucato of Bridgeview; 12 step-grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; nine brothers; and eight sisters.
He was also preceded in death by two stepsons, Donny Shanklin and Bill Shanklin; two brothers; and his sister.
