The body will be cremated and there will be a service Thursday at 1 p.m. at Sunswept Baptist Church in Union City. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday at the church. James Tacker will officiate.
She was born March 6, 1947, in Crenshaw, Miss., daughter of the late Mattie and Dewey Morgan.
She was preceded in death by her parents and four sisters, Phyllis Kay Morgan, Mary Frances (Morgan) Teague, Betty Virginia Speer and Barbara Faye Morgan.
She leaves behind her son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Amber Sims of Fort Smith; two daughters and her son-in-law, Loretta Hodgson and Phyllis and Rick Palmer, all of Greenwood; four beautiful granddaughters, Ashley Sims of Fort Smith, Kimberly Harper of Van Buren, Ark., Katie Hodgson of Muldrow, Okla., and Cameron Sims of Union City; her great-grandson, Jayden Bloom; her great-granddaughter, Kelsey Bloom, who lived in her home; her sister and brother-in-law, Linda and James Donnell of Union City; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, David and Elaine Morgan of Kenton, Danny Morgan of Fulton and Michael and Lisa Morgan of Paducah, Ky.; many loving nieces and nephews; several cousins; her loving dog, Freckles; and most of all the love of her life and best friend, ex-husband Bobby Sims of Greenwood.
