Willie W. ‘Billye’ Horner
Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with Dr. Melvin Poe officiating. There will be no visitation.
The family requests that memorials be made to the Tennessee Chiropractic Association, 2123 Eighth Ave. South, Nashville, TN 37204; or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
She was born Nov. 12, 1919, in Cannon County, daughter of the late William Nelson and Angie (Milligan) Willard. She married Dr. Albert William Horner Sr. Nov. 28, 1940. He died March 19, 1983. She was a retired chiropractic assistant who had worked at the former Horner Chiropractic in Union City for 42 years. She was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church near Trenton.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Dr. A.W. “Bill” Horner Jr. and Barbara Horner of Union City; five grandchildren and their spouses, Lisa and Brent Callicott, Angela Ryan, Jim and Lisa Horner and John and Amy Horner, all of Union City, and Amy and Byron Holloway of Proctor, Ark.; nine great-grandchildren, Andrew Horner, Macy Horner, Gracyn Callicott, Zach Ryan, Olivia Ryan, Jacob Ryan and Alexis Ryan, all of Union City, and Brady Holloway and Madelyn Holloway, both of Proctor.
She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Ruth Ann (Horner) Riddick; her sister, Mary Cenie Uhl; and two brothers, Henry B. Willard and Hershel Willard.
