Jean Menees

Services were 3 p.m. Sunday at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Jerry Leggett officiated. Burial followed in East View Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jason Menees, Jeremy Menees, Justin Menees, Craig Menees, Matt Snow, Christian Snow and Chris Wright. Honorary pallbearers were Leon Forrester and members of the Good Samaritan Sunday School Class at Union City Second Baptist Church.
Mrs. Menees was born Oct. 15, 1933, in Hickman County, Ky., daughter of the late C.L. “Monk” and Lucille (Fortner) Wright. She married William Edgar “Eddie” Menees Dec. 21, 1949. He died Dec. 17, 1986. She had been employed at the former Brown Shoe Co. and was a retired cashier for 3 J’s Convenience Store in Union City. She was a member of Second Baptist Church in Union City and the Good Samaritan Sunday School Class and was a member of Order of Eastern Star.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Glenda Menees of Martin; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Mark Menees; and her brother, Jerry Lee Wright.
