A memorial service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Lawrenceville First United Methodist Church, with Dr. Bill Burch and the Rev. Sheri Smith officiating.
The family requests that donations be made to Lawrenceville First United Methodist Church Endowment fund or to the church’s music department, P.O. Box 2127 Lawrenceville, GA 30046.
Wages and Sons Funeral Home, located at 1031 Lawrenceville Hwy., Lawrenceville, GA 30046, is in charge of arrangements.
David served in the U.S. Navy, earned his PhD and was an educator for many years in Illinois, Nebraska and Georgia.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Wesley and Lucy (Bowers) Daniel, both of Fulton.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Jo Nell (Wade) Daniel; and several cousins in the Obion County area.
