Martha McCollum

Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Hugh Barksdale officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Zion Cemetery near Union City.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the hour of services Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Ross Thompson, Michael Thompson, Glenn Fowler, Nathan Lyle Wilson, Cody Erwin and Sammy McCollum.
The family requests that memorials be made to Mount Zion United Methodist Church or the Mount Zion Cemetery Association.
She was born March 10, 1916, in Fulton County, Ky., daughter of the late Lyle and Mamie (Barham) Shuck. She married Ross McCollum Feb. 7, 1937. He died Sept. 6, 1971. She was a homemaker and a member of Mount Zion United Methodist Church. She had been a member of United Methodist Women and the former Central Homemaker’s Club. She was also a member of Daughters of the American Colonists.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Boyd Rowland of Jackson; her son and daughter-in-law, Gene and Doris McCollum of Hickman, Ky.; her step-granddaughter, Jean Thompson of Dresden; and two great-grandchildren, Ross Thompson of Dresden and Meg Thompson of Charleston, S.C.
She was also preceded in death by her sister, Louise Wilson.
