Silas Flowers

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at White & Mahon Funeral Home, with burial following there in Terrace Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Terry Council will officiate. Pallbearers will be Dennis Dean, Kyle Phillips, Mike Dial, Mike Watts, H.E. Garrigan and Robert Cude.
The family will receive friends this evening from 5-8 at the funeral home.
He was born Aug. 8, 1957, in Obion County, son of Lummie Gene Flowers of Troy and the late Velma (Myers) Flowers Arnold. He married the former Nelda Dean Oct. 6, 2000. He was an employee of Crop Production Services for three years and the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. in Union City for 30 years. He was a member of the National Guard.
He is also survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Shara and Adam Mobbs of Troy; his son and daughter-in-law, Josh and Meagan Choate of Troy; two sisters, Tawanna and Bruce Cook of Union City and Lahoma and Gary Easterwood of Booneville, Mo.; his brother, Jackie Flowers of Obion; and three grandchildren, Chance Choate, Marlee Choate and Jeremiah Choate, all of Troy.
He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, H.C. and Dora Myers and Silas and Geneva Viola Flowers.
