Jimmie Davis

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at White & Mahon Funeral Home in Troy, with the Revs. Charles Southerland and Johnny Chessor officiating. Burial will follow in Old Republican Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home 5-8 p.m. Tuesday.
Pallbearers will be Kent Treece, John Davis, Johnny Kemp, Lonnie Gill, Ronnie Gill, Frank Maceri, Bobby Brown and Jamie Long.
She was born Aug. 6, 1934, in Obion County, daughter of the late Ben and Katie (Dewitt) Long. She had been employed at the former Reelfoot Packing Co. and was a member of Star of Bethlehem Assembly of God.
She is survived by her son, Charles Beasley of Troy; her grandson, Chester Roy Beasley of Dyersburg; her sister and brother-in-law, the Rev. Lee Ellar and James Cleek of Troy; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Buddy and Jo Ann Long of Troy and Clarence “Duddle” and Lucille Long of Cambria, Ill.; 13 nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Roy Beasley; three sisters, Virginia Gill, Betty Jo Lewis and Shelly Pauline Long; and her infant sister.
