Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with the Revs. Jerry Leggett and James Gunter officiating. Burial will follow in Sanders Chapel Cemetery near Union City.
The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Stanley Lee, Johnny Gantt, Chris Crabtree, Jeff Crabtree, Tim Campbell and William Moran.
The family requests that memorials be made to Obion County Hometown Walk of Hope, P.O. Box 482, Union City, TN 38281.
He was born Feb. 4, 1936, in Obion County, son of the late Ramie and Jewel (Scott) Moran. He married the former Mattie Lou Cleek May 16, 1956. She survives. He was a retired employee of the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. in Union City, where he worked for 24 years, and was a member of Reelfoot Baptist Church.
He is also survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Robbie and Gary Moore of Humboldt, Penny and Timmy Gantt of Troy and Joyce and Manuel Regalado of North Augusta, S.C.; his son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Tricia Moran of Union City; his granddaughter, Scarlett Moore of Humboldt; three grandsons and their wives, Johnny and Courtney Gantt of Hornbeak, Chris and Corinne Crabtree of Nashville and Jeff and Becky Crabtree of Union City; six great-grandchildren, Levi Soltez and Morgan Soltez, both of Pennsylvania, Logan Crabtree of Nashville, Kate Crabtree of Union City and Harly Gantt and Wyatt Gantt, both of Hornbeak; and his brother and sister-in-law, Dalton and Shirley Moran of Central City, Ky.
He was also preceded in death by his son, James Robert Moran; and his grandson, Ben Moran.
