Roy Hardin

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Dr. Melvin Poe will officiate. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Obion.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the hour of services Saturday.
Pallbearers will be Scott Critchlow, Benny McGuire, Ronnie Baker, Joe Mann, Wesley McClure, C.F. Blankenship, Kent Hendon and Kevin Hendon.
The family requests that memorials be made to the Obion County Cancer Agency, P.O. Box 482, Union City, TN 38281; or MD Anderson Cancer Center, 1515 Holcombe Blvd., Houston, Texas 77030.
Mr. Hardin was born April 20, 1945, in Union City, son of the late Leonard Elmer and Erma Mae (Hollingsworth) Hardin. He married the former Melba Jean Taylor Nov. 27, 1970. She survives. Roy retired after 40 years of service as an instrument lab technician at the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and the Wesley McClure Sunday School Class. Roy was a former member of the Obion County Rescue Squad and United Steel Workers Local 878.
He is also survived by his son, Allen Birmingham of Union City; his daughter and son-in-law, Lana and Patrick Carolin of Newbern; his granddaughter, Jessey Birmingham of Union City; his step-grandson, Joey Carolin of Newbern; his brother, Eugene Hardin of South Fulton; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by an infant brother.
