Paul Hamblen Jr.

Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jerry Leggett officiating. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the hour of services Thursday at the funeral home.
His grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
The family requests that memorials be made to Second Baptist Church building fund in Union City or the charity of the donor’s choice.
He was born Feb. 26, 1927, in Obion County, son of the late Paul and Mattie (Bramlett) Hamblen. He married the former Joyce Burress Aug. 3, 1947. She survives. He was a retired plumbing contractor, having worked for more than 40 years, and was a member of Union City Second Baptist Church. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran.
He is also survived by four daughters and three sons-in-law, Janice and Bobby Kirkland, Kathy and Dale McCant and Cindy and Jamey Andrews, all of Union City, and Pam Hamblen of Martin; and his son and daughter-in-law, David and Lynda Hamblen of Union City. He was blessed with 11 grandchildren, Jason Hamblen, Joe David Hamblen, Travis Hamilton, Christy Perry, Roger McCant, Shane Andrews, Jeremy Andrews, Rebecca Seaton, Jessica Andrews, Kevin Davidson and Julie Davidson; and 14 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Nellie Wilkerson and Elnora Cochrum, both of Union City.
He was also preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.
