Jon Burns

Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Saturday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with Dr. Vann Kissell and Charles Mitchell officiating.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 1-3 p.m. at the funeral home.
He was born Aug. 24, 1936, in Lake City, Iowa, son of the late Jack Woodrow and Edna (Georg) Burns. He married the former Vivian Clark June 8, 1966. She survives. He was an engineer for Rockwell Boeing in California for 36 years. A U.S. Air Force veteran, he attended Troy First Baptist Church.
He is also survived by his son, Jeffrey Paul Burns of Riverside, Calif.; two stepsons, Duke Mitchell of Troy and Charles Mitchell of Livermore, Calif.; his brother, Ben Burns of Apple Valley, Calif.; 12 grandchildren, Rachel Mitchell, Lauren Mitchell and Dylan Mitchell, all of Seal Beach, Calif., Robert Burns, Martha Burns and Jeffrey Burns Jr., all of Riverside, Christopher Burns and Kelly Burns, both of Olympia, Wash., and Lydia Zuniga, Johnny Mitchell, Nathan Mitchell and Dede Lucido, all of Livermore; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his son, David Scott Burns.
