Katherine Coleman

Katherine Coleman, 88, of Union City died Feb. 28, 2014, at Union City Manor.
Services were held Sunday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Steve Carr officiating.
Burial followed in East View Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jo Robert Hamilton III, Nathaniel Hamilton, Roger Woodward, John Cummings, Bill Smith and David Hamblen.
She was born June 28, 1925, in Obion County, daughter of the late Paul and Mattie (Bramlett) Hamblen. She married Lowell Cecil “Red” Coleman Jan. 20, 1939. He died June 16, 1985. She was a seamstress for the former Salant and Salant for 20 years and was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Judy Hamilton of the Dixie community and Joan and Sam Cooper of Troy; two grandsons, Jo Robert Hamilton Jr. and Sammy Johnson Cooper III, both of Union City; three great-grandchildren, Jo Robert Hamilton III, Nathaniel Hamilton and Averee Nicole Cooper, all of Union City; two sisters, Neelie Wilkerson and Elanora Cochrum, both of Union City; and her brother, Paul Hamblen of Union City.
She was also preceded in death by two sons, Max Allen Coleman and Lowell Cecil Coleman Jr.; a son-in-law, Jo Robert Hamilton; three brothers and a sister.
