Completed arrangements are being announced for Raymond Howard Griffith, 71, of Union City, who died Feb. 20, 2014, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City.
A memorial service is set for 11 a.m. Saturday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with the Revs. Henry Callison and Charles Southerland officiating.
There will be no visitation.
He was born Dec. 18, 1942, in Fulton County, Ky., son of the late L.C. and Meta (Haney) Griffith. He was a retired employee of the former Sigri Carbide in Hickman, Ky., and was a member of the Hickman branch of the Kentucky National Guard for 12 years. He was also a longtime member of Hickman Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Tony Bell of Hornbeak; his son and daughter-in-law, Joey “Meathead” and Leona Griffith of South Fulton; three grandsons, Josh Blanton of Union City, Taylor Moss of Cayce, Ky., and Ben Griffith of South Fulton; his great-grandson, Jacob Blanton of Union City; his brother, Bobby Joe Griffith of Union City; three sisters, Rachel Keeling of Hornbeak, Debbie Bolding of Mason Hall and Jennifer Kethireddy of Memphis; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, Jackie Griffith.
