Bill Gwaltney

Services were set for 1 p.m. today at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Buddy Walls was to officiate, with burial following in Obion County Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were to be family and friends.
Mr. Gwaltney was born June 26, 1925, in Obion County, son of the late E.C. “Doc” and Faira (Sanders) Gwaltney. He married the former June Ice July 23, 1955. She survives. Mr. Gwaltney was a car salesman in Obion County for 35 years, starting in 1971. He was a U.S. Army World War II veteran, a lifetime member of Jones-Walker Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4862 and a professional musician all of his life.
He is also survived by two sons and his daughter-in-law, Jack Gwaltney and his fiancée, Shelia Fuzzell of Union City, and Danny and Patricia Gwaltney of Troy; two brothers and his sister-in-law, Don Ray and Jettie Gwaltney of Hornbeak and Paul Gwaltney of Union City; two grandchildren and their spouses, Brandi and Josh Stewart of Martin and Justin and Sarah Gwaltney of Rives; and four great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his sister, Retha Wallace; and three brothers, Len Gwaltney, Tom Gwaltney and Bernie Gwaltney.
