Frances Massengill
Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Tim Atkins officiating. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the hour of services Tuesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Ken Pitts, Danny Worley, Clint Worrell, Jordan Worley, Jacob Worley and Caleb Worrell.
The family requests that memorials be made to Union City First United Methodist Church.
She was born Nov. 1, 1923, in Illinois, daughter of the late W.L. Metcalf and the late Lilly (White) Metcalf Todd. She married William Zachariah “Bill” Massengill March 22, 1942. He died March 7, 2011.
She was the retired owner and operator, with her husband, of the former Bill’s Flower Box in Union City and was a member of Union City First United Methodist Church, the Margaret Carter Sunday School Class and United Methodist Women. She was also a member of Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Judi and Ken Pitts of Union City; her son, Tim Massengill of Nashville; two granddaughters and their spouses, Angie and Danny Worley and Piper and Clint Worrell, all of Union City; and five great-grandchildren, Jordan Worley of Jackson and Jacob Worley, Sydne-Kate Worley, Kaleb Worrell and Kallie Worrell, all of Union City.
She was preceded in death by her son and daughter, Ricky Massengill and Magdalene Massengill; three sisters; and her brother.
