Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Rick Burton will officiate. Burial will follow in Mount Rose Cemetery in York, Pa.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the hour of services Thursday.
Mrs. Colwill was born Jan. 18, 1912, in Blount County, Ala., daughter of the late Arvel Crawford Smith Jr. and the late Naomi Buena Vista (Kerr) Smith. She married Richard Henry Colwill Dec. 12, 1935. He died Dec. 14, 1997. Mrs. Colwill was a retired social worker and a member of the Presbyterian Church U.S.A.
She is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Logan of the Shawtown community; two sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas Richard and Kathy Colwill of Berwyn, Pa., and Dr. William Henry and Karen Colwill of Bethany Beach, Del.; eight grandchildren and the spouse of one, Geneva and Logan Storey of Union City, Roy Shaw Logan Jr. of the Dixie community, Paula Elaine Logan of Chattanooga, Dr. Jessica Brown Colwill of Portsmouth, Va., the Rev. Sarah Aileen Colwill of Oreland, Pa., Caroline Denise Colwill of Berwyn, Jane Katharine Colwill of Manhattan, N.Y., and Dr. James Ronald Colwill of Long Beach, Calif.; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two grandchildren, Anne Cordelia Colwill and Thomas Shaw Logan Sr.; two sisters, Jenette Cole and Geneva Smith; and two brothers, Wilmer Smith and Arvel Smith III.
