Prayer services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with burial following in Obion County Memorial Gardens. The Rev. James Kinsey will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
The family requests that memorials be made to Obion County Hometown Walk of Hope, P.O. Box 582, Union City, TN 38281.
She was born Feb. 21, 1926, in Obion County, daughter of the late D.W. and Amelia (Vincent) Roney. She was a retired employee of the former Sta-Rite Industries in Union City, where she worked for several years. She was a member of Sunswept Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Julia Cherry of Jenning, La.; her granddaughter and her husband, Stephanie and Nathaniel Welshenbaugh of Union City; her grandson and his wife, James and Tracy Cherry of Dyersburg; four great-grandchildren, Lydia Runions and Maya Runions, both of Union City, and Andy Cherry and Collin Cherry, both of Dyersburg; and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Vivian and Ronnie Hays and Patricia and Don Gray, all of Union City.
She was also preceded in death by her sister, Wilma Ellis; and two brothers, Billy Jeff Roney and Dwayne T. Roney.
