Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at White & Mahon Funeral Home in Troy, with the Rev. James Gunter and Dr. Bobby Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Ararat Cemetery near Troy.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 5-8 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Bud Garrison, Matt Daniel, David Alexander, Dale Alexander, Brian Cranford, Donnie Hutchison, Chance Williams, Nate Forrester and Bradley Baggett. Honorary pallbearers will be the elders of Protemus Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
The family requests that memorials may be made to Protemus Cumberland Presbyterian Church, in care of Betty Rhamy, 2160 West Shawtown Road, Troy, TN 38260.
He was born Sept. 4, 1938, in Obion County, son of the late Thomas Marion “Tom” and Lora Ione (Cochran) Cherry. He was a carpenter and farmer and was a member of Protemus Cumberland Presbyterian Church, where he served as an elder.
He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Wanda Sue and David Edwin Lee; his niece and her husband, Cindy and Kevin Kill; his nephew, Stan Lee; and two great-nephews, Blaine Lee and Hayden Lee, all of Troy.
