Eddie Jones

Services for Mr. Jones will be Thursday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home of Dyer, with Bro. Jim Calhoun officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery of Dyer.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Jones was born Sept. 8, 1917, in Lexington, son of the late Walter and Frankie (Gooch) Jones. He was a retiree of Texas Gas Transmission Corp. and a member of Dyer United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Gail (Jones) and Louie Emrich of Kenton; his son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Brenda Jones of Monticello, Fla.; two grandchildren and the spouse of one, Lisa (Emrich) and David Brewer  of Rutherford  and Allison Emrich of Dyersburg; two great-grandchildren, Clay Brewer and Austin Brewer, both of Rutherford; and two sisters, Virginia (Jones) Turnbow of Saltillo and Irene (Jones) Pittsenbarger of California.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two wives, Fern (Harrison) Jones and Mary Helen (Bryant) Jones; and four siblings, Randolph Jones of Baltimore, Md., Evaleena “Lena” (Jones) Edmondson of Johnson City, Marie (Jones) Humphries of Kingsport  and Ruby (Jones) Bledsoe of Sardis.
