Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Melvin Poe officiating. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Shane Lee, Chad Hicks, Ben Kelly, Rob Kelly, Jeff Kincade and Jamie Hamilton Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Wilton Wade, Grant Kizer, Tyler Bowling, Larry Baker, Hunter Hicks and Jordan Martin.
The family requests that memorials be made to Obion County Hometown Walk of Hope or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis.
He was born Dec. 13, 1939, in St. Louis, son of the late William Pitt and Katherine (Savant) Koupa. He married the former Robbie Bullion Dec. 16, 1986. She survives.
He attended Southwest High School in St. Louis and earned a football scholarship to the University of Florida. He then attended St. Louis School of Pharmacy and became a licensed pharmacist. He was owner of the former K&D Pharmacy in Union City and was an original director of Reelfoot Bank, a position from which he had retired. He was a member of Union City Rotary Club and was an avid fisherman and duck hunter who owned a boat and was a flats fisherman in the Everglades.
He was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in St. Louis.
He is survived by his wife; his son and daughter-in-law, Bradley and Nancy Koupa of Edwardsville, Ill.; his stepson, Robert Daryl King of Union City; his honorary son and his wife, Terry and Carrie Crittendon of Union City; his grandson, Devin King of Union City; two granddaughters, Ashley Dawn Koupa and Courtney Koupa, both of Edwardsville; his honorary granddaughter, Taylor Crittendon of Union City; his sister, Mary Jane Caragher of Naples, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
