Larry E. Grubb

Graveside services were set for 11 a.m. today, with Marine military honors, at Obion County Memorial Gardens near Union City. White-Ranson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were to be Jeff Maxey, Daryl Butler, Roger Speed, Steve Speed, Ronnie Brown and Rick Brown. Honorary pallbearers were to be Ronnie Brown Jr. and Bob Malone.
The family requests that memorials be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
He was born April 17, 1936, in Black Foot, Ohio, to the late William Russell and Margaret (Summers) Grubb. He married the former Donna Maynard Oct. 21, 1978. She survives. They lived in Memphis.
Mr. Grubb retired from Macy’s after working there 32 years.
He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, having served two tours in Vietnam.
He is survived by his wife; his daughter, Michelle Nabors of Bartlett; two sons, Tony Grubb and Bill Grubb, both of Memphis; his sister, Mary Mynes of Virginia Beach, Va.; his granddaughter, Miranda Nabors of Bartlett; his sister-in-law, Ruth Lewis of Union City; and his brother-in-law, Billy Maynard of the Harris Station community.
He was also preceded in death by two sons, Larry Edward Grubb Jr. and Tony Alan Grubb; two sisters, Wanetia Dawson and Patricia Casey; and two brothers, William Oscar Grubb and Rosco Grubb.
