Danny Jones

Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Sunswept Baptist Church in Union City, with the Rev. James Kinsey and Larry Hitesman officiating. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church 5-8 p.m. Monday and on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the hour of services at the church.
White-Ranson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Thomas Etheridge, Matthew Brooks, Kevin Powell, Nathan Powell, Jonathan Hill, Benjamin Hill, Isaac Hill, Sean Jones, Courtney Hill and Robert Powell. Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons of Sunswept Baptist Church.
The family requests that memorials be made to the church, to Obion County Hometown Walk of Hope or to the American Heart Association.
He was born July 19, 1947, in Sikeston, Mo., son of the late Glenn Robert and Bonita Claire (Baugher) Jones. He married the former Opal Jones on Aug. 6, 1965. She survives. He had been employed at the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. in Union City 40 for years and 16 days. He was a member and deacon of Sunswept Baptist Church.
He is also survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Michelle and Robert Powell of Chesterfield, Mo., Christina and Courtney Hill of Herrin, Ill., and Shannon Brooks of Union City; his son, James Jones of Union City; 12 grandchildren, Jennifer Brooks and Matthew Brooks, both of Union City, Kevin Powell and Nathan Powell, both of Chesterfield, Elizabeth Hill, Jonathan Hill, Benjamin Hill, Isaac Hill and Rachel Hill, all of Herrin, and Sean Jones, Noelle Long and Olivia Jones, all of Kailua, Hawaii; four sisters, Sondra Wills, Brenda Williams and Lisa Jones, all of Sikeston, and Iva Massey of Seminole, Fla.; and three brothers, Donald Jones of Cape Girardeau, Mo., and Jimmy Jones and Wesley Jones, both of Sikeston.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, Johnny Jay Jones; and his sister, Sharon Lands.
