Virginia Bell
She was the mother of Bill Bell of Union City.
Services were Sunday at 3 p.m. at Temple Baptist Church in Mount Airy, conducted by the Rev. Zane Fishel. Mrs. Bell was then taken to Union City, where the family will receive friends at White-Ranson Funeral Home Tuesday from noon-1:45 p.m. and then will leave in procession for a 2 p.m. graveside service at Obion County Memorial Gardens.
Flowers will be accepted at the funeral home in Union City.
Howell Funeral Service of Mount Airy was in charge of arrangements there.
She was born Dec. 15, 1923, in Weakley County, daughter of the late Calvin Shaw and Zula Mae (Morris) Insco. Mrs. Bell was a homemaker and a retired child care worker and was a member of Temple Baptist Church. She loved the Lord with all her heart and showed His love to all her family and friends. She was truly a Proverbs 31 woman.
She is also survived by two others sons and three daughters-in-law, Loyd and Jo Bell of Dresden, John Bell Jr. and Marty Bell of Lebanon, Ind., and Brenda Bell of Union City; two daughters and her son-in-law, Judy and Wayne Mosley of Mount Airy and Wanda Kay Pruitt of Fountain Inn, S.C.; three stepchildren, Jim Bell of Martin, Leitha Carter of Nevada and Roy Bell of Florida; 20 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; her sister and brother-in-law, Nancy & J.W. Shelton of Union City; and her brother, Joe Insco of Glendale, Calif.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bell was preceded in death by her son, Kenny Bell; her stepdaughter, Dorothy Forrester; three sisters, Doris Thompson, Sally Shufelt and Dovie Saenger; and four brothers, Fred Insco, Ernie Insco, Elvis Insco and Buford “Boots” Insco.
