Willard ‘Grasshopper’ Allison

Willard “Grasshopper” Allison, 73, of Hornbeak died Dec. 26, 2013, at Union City Manor Health and Rehab. He was a truck driver for more than 40 years and was an Army veteran.
The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. today in the Ridgely chapel of Curry Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in the Ridgely chapel. Interment will follow in Crockett Chapel Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Libern Henson, Daryl Thornton, Carl Kennedy, W.C. Hollandsworth, Bennie Long and Steve Peery.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Margaret Allison of Hornbeak; three daughters, Tina Cruthis Hindman and her husband, Randy, of Dallas and Susan Henderson and her husband, Mike, and Lori Patterson, all of Hornbeak; two sons, Willard Allison Jr. of Henning, Bobby Allison and his wife, Jan, of Hornbeak; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tanya Carol Allison; his mother, Zuvia Pruitt Hinkle; his sister, Ellen Kennedy; and his brother, Ernie Pruitt.
