Janie Roberts

Janie Sanders Roberts, 96, of Union City died Dec. 26, 2013, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City.
Services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Tim Atkins officiating. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.
Visitation will be 1 p.m. until the time of service on Saturday.
Family members will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Margaret Carter Sunday school class at First United Methodist Church in Union City.
She was born Oct. 1, 1917, in Obion County, daughter of the late William M. and Elizabeth Harris Sanders. She married William C. Roberts June 24, 1943. He died Jan. 1, 1996. She was a housewife and had worked at the former Brown Shoe Co. for 13 years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Union City and the Margaret Carter Sunday school class.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Joey Johnson of Union City; two granddaughters and their husbands, Heather and Jonathan Miller of Oxford, Miss., and Keri and Jason Daniel of Troy; and a great-grandson, Jacob Daniel of Troy.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Greg Roberts; three sisters; three brothers; and three half-brothers.
