Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Brother William Matheny will officiate. Burial will follow in Cobbs Chapel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home from 1 p.m. until the hour of services Saturday.
Marty was born July 11, 1962, in Ypsilanti, Mich., son of the late Cloyd Kirby Jr. and the late Opal (Jerden) Kirby. He had been employed at Pine Grove Recovery Center in Hattiesburg, Miss., and was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his sister, Shelia Gunn of Howell, Mich.; five aunts, Marcella Erwin, Linda Jernigan, Shirley Hamm, Marguerite Wilson and Beverly Coston, all of Hornbeak; and two uncles, Joe Jerden and David Jerden, both of Hornbeak.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, Ricky Cloyd Kirby; and his uncle, Tommy Jerden.
