Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Hornbeak Funeral Home in Fulton, with burial to follow in the Obion County Memorial Gardens. Friends may call the funeral from 11 a.m. Saturday until the funeral hour.

She was born July 31, 1962, to the late James “Jim” Owens and Marjorie (Puckett) Owens.
She was of the Methodist faith and was an avid University of Kentucky fan. She was a 1980 graduate of South Fulton High School and attended UT Martin, where she received a bachelor’s degree. Her employment in Fulton included Head Start, Evenstart, Fulton School System, Laurel Center and the Murray, Ky. Head Start. She worked most recently as an advocate for domestic violence victims at the Merryman House in Murray. She participated in many organizations in the Murray area in support of the Merryman House and its clients. She was a resident of this area most of her life.
She is survived by three sisters, Cathy Owens of Clarksville, Shannon Owens of Centerton, Ark., and Sharon Hendrix of South Fulton; three nieces and their spouses, Shayla and Stephen Cosby of Rogers, Ark., Shelbi Hickerson of Bella Vista, Ark., and Chrissie and Jed Clark of Lynnville, Ky.; and her much-beloved great-nieces and great-nephews, Emma Grace Cosby and Rylan James Cosby, both of Rogers, and Vivi Cate and John Campbell Clark, both of Lynnville.
