Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Hornbeak Funeral Chapel in Fulton and interment will be in the New Hope Cemetery near Martin. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour Saturday.
Active pallbearers will be Nathan Hill, Eric Hill, Brent Netherland, Josh Hankins, Jake Hankins and Wynn Burnett. Honorary pallbearers will be her great-grandchildren, Ethan Hankins, Braxton Burnett, Bryce Burnett, Aubrie Hill and Everett Hill. Memorials may be made to the New Hope Cemetery Fund, in care of Jane Rawls, 118 Ivie Lane, Martin, TN 38237.
She was a public accountant and had been head accountant for the former Stanley Jones Mechanical Corp. She had owned and operated three separate H&R Block businesses in Martin, Fulton and Union City and had retired from H&R Block in 2005 after 35 years of service. She was a lifelong member of New Hope United Methodist Church in the Chestnut Glade community and later attended South Fulton United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and had lived in the Chestnut Glade community and on McKinney Road in South Fulton.
She is survived by two daughters and her son-in-law, Cathy and Dr. Paul Hill of Troy and Melissa Hankins of Martin; six grandchildren, Becky Burnett of Union City, Nathan Hill of Nashville, Eric Hill of Franklin, Brent Netherland of Fairview, Josh Hankins of Hendersonville and Jake Hankins of Jacksonville, Fla.; five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Patsy Beale, Pansy Baker and Paula Bell, all of Martin; and her sister-in-law, Priscilla Nanney of Chestnut Glade.
She was preceded in death by her husband, B. Gene McKinney; her parents, Gerald Mike Nanney Sr. and Mary Florence (Taylor) Nanney; her son, Michael Gene McKinney; and her brother, Gerald Mike Nanney Jr.
