Services were 1 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Fulton. Burial followed in Johnson Grove Cemetery near South Fulton.

He was a member of First Baptist Church in Fulton, where he served as a deacon for over 40 years and taught Sunday school for years. He was a self-employed farmer and a World War II veteran of the Army Air Corps. He had lived all his life in this area.
He is survived by his daughter, Kim Combs of South Fulton; his son, Ted H. Owen of South Fulton; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Iva H. Owen, Nov. 18, 2011; his parents, W.D. Owen Sr. and Ethel (Russell) Owen; his brother; and his sister.
Hornbeak Funeral Chapel in Fulton was in charge of the arrangements.
