Max Miller

Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dwayne Ervin officiating. Burial will follow in West Hill Cemetery near Troy.
The family will receive friends 5-8 this evening at the funeral home.
His nephews will serve as pallbearers.
The family requests that memorials be made to Union City Second Baptist Church.
He was born Nov. 17, 1923, in Union City, son of the late Starling and Alice Jane (Murray) Miller. He married the former Mary Sue Williams on Oct. 30, 1943. She survives. He had worked for Union City Auto Parts for 40 years and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a charter member of Union City Second Baptist Church and had been president of the former Union City Lions Club, an organization he was a member of for many years.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years; his son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Gina Miller of Beech Bluff; his granddaughter and her husband, Dena and Mark Zipp of Medina; his great-grandson, Jace Zipp of Medina; his great-granddaughter, Bryn Zipp of Medina; two step-grandchildren, Brandy Copley and Kevan Young, both of Jackson; three step-great-grandchildren, Royce Copley, Grace Copley and Addison Young, all of Jackson; his half-brother, Cecil Miller of Prescott, Ariz.; two nephews from Union City, Billy Ralph Miller and Claude Vernon Miller; and his niece from South Fulton, Alice Ann Cotton.
He was preceded in death by seven sisters and six brothers.
