Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Obion First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Marshal Easley officiating. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery near Obion.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great-grandsons.
The family will receive friends Friday at the church from 5-8 p.m.
Cryer Funeral Home in Obion is in charge of arrangements.
She was born Dec. 25, 1927, in Obion, daughter of the late Frank and Brownetta (Stanfield) Taylor. She was the widow of James Robert DePriest Sr. and had been employed as a seamstress at the former Salant & Salant in Obion. She was a member of St. James Missionary Baptist Church in Obion.
She is survived by five sons, James DePriest Jr. and Charles DePriest, both of Obion, Frank DePriest and Russell DePriest, both of Memphis, and Roger DePriest of Nashville; two daughters, Shirley Ann Johnson and Vera Bufford, both of Nashville; her aunt, Beatrice Taylor of Gary, Ind.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her sons-in-law and daughters-in-law; her very devoted cousin, Martha Smith of Obion; and her very devoted friend and neighbor, Melba Daniels.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Robert DePriest; and two brothers, Herbert Taylor and Robert Eugene Taylor.
