Charles Corkran

Services were set for today at 11 a.m. at Tiptonville First United Methodist Church.  Burial was to follow in Lake Memorial Gardens in Tiptonville. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
The Rev. Chip Davis was to officiate. Pallbearers were to be John Watson Lindamood, Shelby Barker Jr., Wil Keiser, Mackie Wilson, Easton Lebo and  Corey Barnes. Honorary pallbearers were to be Gordon “Cheek” Burrus, J.T. “Bubba” Burrus, Hale C. Tipton, W.C. Haynes, Albert Marhkam and Clifford Warren.
He was a retired jeweler for Bryant’s Jewelry Store in Tiptonville. He attended Tiptonville First United Methodist Church, was a member of Harmony Lodge No. 184 and the American Legion and was a Shriner. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Corkran of Tiptonville; three daughters, Linda Barker and Charlotte Adcock, both of Tiptonville, and Joyce Lindamood of Nashville; his son, Charles Edward “Eddie” Corkran of Springfield, Mo.; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Sarah Corkran; and his brother, James Corkran.
