Monnie Gibson

Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home in Trenton. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery near Trenton. Visitation will be 12:30 p.m. until service time at the funeral home on Saturday.
Donations may be made to the Harlan-Morris Retirement Home in Trenton. She was retired from the former Brown Shoe Co. as a factory worker. A member of Bethany Church of Christ, she had been a resident of Harlan-Morris Retirement Home in Trenton for the last nine years.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and David Kendall of Rives; her son and daughter-in-law, James and Margaret Gibson of Murray, Ky.; another daughter-in-law, Nancy Gibson; nine grandchildren, Eric Gibson, Trent Gibson, Jayme Gibson, Jason Kendall, Janet Bailey, Steve Kendall, Sam Kendall, Chris Gibson and Thomas O’Daniel; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred “Buck” Gibson; her son, Terry Gibson; four sisters, Mildred Barham, Myrtle Mallard, Mable Hoppers and Mattie Ragsdale; and four brothers, Clyde Barham, John Barham, Tab Barham and George Barham.
