He was a former resident of Union City.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with the Rev. James Kinsey officiating. Burial will follow in Stanley  Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from noon until the hour of services at the funeral home Thursday.
Pallbearers will be Jamie Grady, Hunter Jones, Bobby Wright, Richard Pair, Donnie Wright, Josh Spicer, Joedy W. Tarkington, Jim Prather, Edd Thornton, Eddie Finch and Robert Finch.
The family requests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or the charity of the donor’s choice.
He was born March 13, 1930, in Obion County, son of the late Bertha (Wallace) and Clay Grady Sr.
He married the former Martha Elizabeth Pollard Feb. 15, 1948. She died Oct. 19, 2002. He was retired, having worked at the former Timm’s Furniture Co. and the former Sta-Rite Mfg., both in Union City. He was a member and co-founder of what is now the Obion County Rescue Squad.
He is survived by his son, James Edward Grady; two daughters, Betty Lucille King and Ruby Marie Spicer, both of Union City; six grandchildren, Kim (Grady) Pair of Cayce, Ky., Shawn Jackson of Ft. Worth, Texas and Jamie Grady, Bobby Wright, Renee Golden and Josh Spicer, all of Union City; nine great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
He was also preceded in death by his great-grandson, Michael Andrew Grady; his great-granddaughter, Paris LaShawn Jackson; and his half-brother, Alvin Grady.
