Charles Maynard

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel in Fulton with burial to follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. today. A Masonic service will be held at 7 p.m. today.

 He was a member of Smith Street Church of Christ, a 50-year Mason, a retired master sergeant in the U.S. Air Force and a retired farmer. He lived most of his life in this area except when in the military.
 He is survived by his wife Neva (Jones) Maynard; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Susan (Maynard) and Robert Lee of South Fulton, Edith (Maynard) Redish of Chattanooga and Deborah (Maynard) and Jeff Merritt of Martin; five grandchildren and their spouses, Lisa Lee and Mike Bivens of Troy, James and Christy Lee of Union City, Cliff Redish and Jake Redish, both of Chattanooga, and Brett Merritt of Martin; three great-grandchildren and the spouse of one of them, Bubba Murray of Union City, Madelyn Hogan of Troy and Lesley and Mason Jones of Paducah, Ky.; his great-great-granddaughter, BryLee Jones of Paducah; two sisters, Ruth Lewis of Union City and Donna Grubbs of Memphis; his brother, Billy Maynard of Harris Station community; and a family pet named Lucy.
 He was preceded in death by his parents, Willis Moody and Mabel (Melvin) Maynard; two sisters; and his brother.
