Carolyn Terry

Services were 3 p.m. Sunday at Bowlin Funeral Home in Dresden, with burial following in Sunset Cemetery.
Jim Roberts, Randy Cooper and Dale Green officiated. Pallbearers were Mike Peeler, Derrick Burress, Craig Hammond, Darrell Taylor, Chase Sowell and Bill Hopper. Honorary pallbearers were Michael Taylor, Justin Taylor and Allen Taylor.
She was born Dec. 31, 1943, in Hornbeak, daughter of the late Hershel and Christine (Orr) Hopper. She was a member of the Church of Christ and attended Central North Church. She had been a caregiver for the sick and elderly and had also been the owner of Carol’s Drive In in Dresden. She operated Hearts and Hands day care center and owned 4 Seasons Janitorial Service.
She was married to Joe Leonard Terry, who survives.
She is also survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Tina and Jeff Parham of Martin and Kimberly and Jeff Mayo of Austin, Texas; two sons, Ricky Terry of Dresden and Billy Joe Terry of Arlington; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Joan and Glynn Mebane of McKenzie and Patsy and Steve Melton of Dresden; and 11 grandchildren, Paige Dilday, Ray Thomas, Alex Mayo, Lacey Mayo, Alex Parham, Blake Parham, Ethan Parham, Zack Terry, Josh Terry, Gabbie Terry and Seth Terry.
She was also preceded in death by her sister, Charlotte Hopper; and her brother, Billy Hopper.
