Robert Hardy Martin, D.PH., 80, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Oct. 1, 2013, at The Manor in Poplar Bluff. He was the father and father-in-law of Jeff Scott and Lori Martin of Union City, and the grandfather of Mallory Martin, Taylor Martin and Morgan Martin.
Visitation will be Friday at 10:30 a.m., at Poplar Bluff First United Methodist Church. Funeral services will start at 11:30 a.m., with the Rev. David Stewart officiating. Entombment will follow at the Chapel of Memories Mausoleum at the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
The family requests that memorials be made to the endowment fund at Poplar Bluff First United Methodist Church.

He was born Aug. 26, 1933, in Milan to Buel and Beniva (Mathis) Martin, who preceded him in death.
On July 17, 1954, he married the former Doris I. Laufenberg in Augusta, Ga. She survives.
He was a graduate of the University of Tennessee Medical School in Memphis, where he was a member of the Phi Delta Chi Fraternity. A doctor of pharmacy, he retired in 1996, from the Kroger Pharmacy. He also filled in at many of the Poplar Bluff area pharmacies throughout his career.
He served in the U.S. Army as a military police officer and was honorably discharged, in July 1961, from the Armed Forces and the National Guard of Tennessee. He was a 50-year member of the Masons, the Scottish Rite 32nd degree and the Shrine Club. He was also a member of Poplar Bluff First United Methodist Church and Poplar Bluff Country Club and was past president of the Gibson County Shrine Club in Milan. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and hunting and fishing.
He was also preceded in death by his daugther, Jenni Lynn Martin.
