Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Exchange Street Church of Christ, with Dan Huggins officiating. Burial will follow, with military honors, in Salem Cemetery near Woodland Mills.
The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. today at the church.
White-Ranson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Billy Hale, Mike Richards, Lennie Burton, Kenneth Cary, Wally Covington and Justin Lawrence. Honorary pallbearers will be members of The Patriot Guard.
He was born June 29, 1942, in Russellville, Ala., son of the late James Edward and Lurla Lorene (Pounders) Posey. He married the former Shirley Ramey Feb. 5, 1966. She died May 11, 2012.
He then married the former Judy Roney April 20, 2013. She survives.
He was a retired electrician for the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., where he worked for 29 years, and was currently employed by Murray Guard Co. at MTD in Martin. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in Vietnam, and was a member of Exchange Street Church of Christ. He was also past president of Troy  Lions Club.
He is also survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Melony and Justin Lawrence of Kenton; his son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Christy Posey of Union City; three grandchildren and their spouses, Alysha and Thomas Jackson of Fayetteville, N.C., Amanda and Kerry White of Dyer and Stephanie and Lennie Burton of Union City; a great-grandchild, Carter Reece Jackson, who is on the way; two stepchildren, Billy and DaShae Hale and Angella Hale, all of Paducah, Ky.; two step-grandchildren, Madison Hale and Sabrina McMillin, both of Paducah; his brother, Dwayne Posey of Tuscumbia, Ala.; his niece; and his nephew.
