Shirley Ann Rogers

Shirley Ann (McKeel) Rogers, 78, of Tiptonville, died Aug. 31, 2013, at Reelfoot Manor Nursing Home in Tiptonville.
Services were held at 1 p.m. today at First Methodist Church of Tiptonville, with the Rev. Marita Burkeen officiating. Burial followed at the Tiptonville City Cemetery. Services were handled by White-Ranson Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Mary Rogers, Jimmy Rogers, Brian Homra, James Mooring, Louis Lavenue and Chad Roberts.
Honorary pallbearers were W.C. Haynes, J.L. Burrus, Gordon Burrus, Billy Roberts and Charles Corkran.
The family has requested memorials be sent to Tiptonville First Methodist Church.
Ms. Rogers was born Sept. 29, 1934, in Obion County. She was the daughter of the late James Allen McKeel and Dorothy Lucille (Corbitt) McKeel. She married Dale Hugh Rogers on June 16, 1949. He died May 7, 2011. She was a homemaker and a member of First Methodist Church of Tiptonville.
She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Gail and Alex Homra of Pickwick Dam, Susie and Jim Lavenue of Alamo and Dorothy and David Mooring of Tiptonville; five grandchildren, Jenny Mooring of Memphis, Brian Homra of Nashville, James Mooring of Tiptonville, Emily Lavenue Roberts of Collierville and Louis Lavenue of Alamo; and four great-grandchildren, Madison Mooring of Tiptonville, Wesley Mooring of Hornbeak, London Roberts of Collierville and Shelby Grace Roberts of Collierville.
