To serve fish plates
Bells Chapel CME Church, located at 207 North Highland Drive in Fulton, will host a fish fry Saturday at 11 a.m.
Plates will include fish, spaghetti, slaw, white beans, corn bread and dessert for $8, eat in or carry out.

Holy Week events told
Holy Week services sponsored by the Obion County Ministerial Association will begin at 11:45 a.m. Monday through March 29 at Union City Cumberland Presbyterian Church, located at 631 East Church St.
A light meal will be followed by Holy Week devotionals led by area clergymen.
These include the Rev. Ron Gray of Union City First Church of God Monday, the Rev. Terry English of Antioch-Rives-Central Union United Methodist churches Tuesday, the Rev. Chuck McMillen of St. James Episcopal Church Wednesday, the Rev. Caroline Farmer of Pleasant Valley-Shady Grove United Methodist churches March 28 and the Rev. Mike Osment, chaplain at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City, March 29.
A love offering will be received. The community is invited to attend.
Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, located at 1303 East Reelfoot Ave. in Union City, will begin Holy Week services at 6 p.m. Wednesday with the Stations of the Cross.
On March 28, there will be Holy  Thursday services at 6, with Good Friday observed at 6 p.m. March 29. Holy Saturday Easter Vigil will being at 7 p.m. March 30 and there will be Easter celebrations at 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. March 31.
The community is invited to join the congregation for these services.

Faith Lutheran Church will celebrate Holy Week with services March 28 at 7 p.m. for Maundy Thursday. On Good Friday, services will be at 7, with Easter sunrise services set for 7.
A pancake breakfast will be served from 8-9 and children’s Sunday school will begin immediately following, with worship at 10:30. This is a change of time for Sunday morning worship.
Following the worship service, there will be an Easter egg hung sponsored by the youth group for children of all ages.
The church is located at 2012 East Reelfoot Ave. in Union City, across from the Coca-Cola plant.
The community is invited to attend.

Services planned
Shiloh Missionary Bap-tist Church, located at 602 Melrose St., will be celebrating the congregation’s annual Missionary Day Sunday at 3 p.m. The afternoon speaker will be one of their own, Lisa Sanford.  Shiloh will also be having Easter sunrise services at 6. Everyone is invited to attend these and all services, a spokesman said.

Easter music slated
The adult choir of Troy First Baptist Church will present “It Is Finished” Sunday at 10:45 a.m.
“Come and see the Easter story unfold through music and drama,” says the music director at the church, Tony Jones.
Dr. Vann Kissell is pastor. The congregation invites the community to join them for this special presentation.

Fish fry scheduled
The youth of New Hope Free Will Baptist Church will be selling fish plates Saturday, beginning at 11 a.m. at 1103 East Vine St. in Union City.
The plates will be $7 and will include fish, white beans, spaghetti and slaw.
The Rev. Ron Smith and the congregation invite the community to support this effort.

Gospel meeting set
Mt. Zion Church of Christ in Shawtown on the Old Samburg Road will host a gospel meeting Sunday through Wednesday with guest speaker Larry O’Dell, former minister at Mt. Zion.
He is the pulpit minister for Leonard St. Church of Christ in Pensacola, Fla., and will be accompanied by his wife, Gail, and their children, Sarah and Garrett. He is the son of Jeff and Cris O’Dell of Ridgely.
The focus of the lessons will be God’s grace.
Sunday morning at 10, the lesson will be “Biblical Grace Defined,” with the evening’s topic at 7 to be “God’s Grace in the Old Testament.”
On Monday at 7 p.m., he will preach on “God’s Grace in the New Testament,” with Tuesday’s message at 7 p.m. being “God’s Grace in Creation.”
On Wednesday, he will focus on “God’s Grace in the Bible.”
Worship in song will be conducted by John Sawyer Sr. and William Denman.
There wil be a noon potluck Sunday. The community is invited to hear these messages and be guests for the meal.

SS workshop set
Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church, located at 720 East College St. in Union City, will host a Sunday school workshop titled “Reach, Retain and Regain” Saturday, with registration set for 8 a.m.
The morning session will begin at 9 with facilitators Sherri Mercer from Mt. Olive Baptist Church in South Fulton and the Rev. W.L. McCadney of Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church in Dyersburg.
Judge Jimmy Smith will be the speaker for the joint session, “Benevolence: A Matter of Heart.”
There is no registration fee. A love offering will be gratefully received.
The workshop is being sponsored by the Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church Sunday school department, with Ellarine Moses and the church’s pastor, the Rev. A.E. McCadney, as organizers.
