A benefit is being planned for Randall “Randy” Cole. He suffered a major stroke in July and this has been followed by a series of mini-strokes which have caused problems with balance, the sight in his right eye and the left side of his body. He is not a candidate for surgery to deal with three blockages because of the low percentage rate of survival.
A bank account has been opened in his name at Foundation Bank in Obion and all donations will be appreciated, a spokesman said.
The fund raiser is planned for Feb. 23 from 5-7 p.m. at Cloverdale Community Center. Barbecue plates and fish plates will sell for $7. Ribs will also be sold for $20 a slab, with Boston butts going for $30, ham for $30 and barbecued bologna for $5 per pound.
To place an order, call Jerry Pollock at 446-6945, Sid Pollock at 538-2818, Robert Cherry at 234-8840, Allen Riley at 446-6945, Tyler Pollock at 487-2720, Rita Cole at 536-5466, Joann Heskett at 538-2746 or 446-8964 or Carolyn Anderson at 536-5329 from 7-10:30 a.m. and 3:30-9 p.m.
