Palmersville Baptist Church news Posted: Thursday, February 7, 2013 6:00 pm On Wednesday, Joe and Jackie Laws led us in singing “Alleluia.” Grace Laws played a new song she learned titled, “Sweet Hour of Prayer.” She did a very good job. We rejoiced that no one was hurt in the recent storm. Our bible study was from Galatians 1:11-2:7. On this Lord’s Day, our Sunday school lesson titled, “The Truth of the Gospel,” was from 1 Timothy 1:1-20. We learned that the central truth of the gospel is that Christ came to save sinners and that biblical faith is grounded in the truth of the gospel of grace. It as a good lesson. We sang “Happy Birthday” to Carol Brann and Debbie Griffith. Happy birthday this week to Kendall Griffith, Cody Roudenbush, Bryce Phillips, Timothy Mallory and Marie Winstead. We express sympathy to all those who lost loved ones this week and pray healing for those who are sick. Following congregational singing, Joe David Laws sang “There’s Something About that Name.” He did a good job. Bro. Kieth’s message was about “Prayer and Praying” from 2 Chronicles. 7:14, Psalms 5:2, 55:17, Luke 6:12 and Acts 8:11. That night, Bro. Kieth’s message was from John 12:27-29 and Matthew 26:36-46. We had two good services! Our seventh through twelfth graders went to Brannon and Dana Stafford’s home for fellowship. None
