OCCHS cheerleaders head to Florida

OCCHS cheerleaders head to Florida | Obion County Central High School cheerleading squad, UCA National High School Cheerleading Championship

AND THEY’RE OFF — The 34-member Obion County Central High School cheerleading squad hopped aboard a bus Wednesday evening headed for Orlando, Fla., and the UCA National High School Cheerleading Championship competition at Disney World. The cheerleaders, who were joined by their coaches and chaperones, will be competing against other high school squads from across the country. OCCHS earned the invitation to the national championships by winning a regional competition in November 2012 in South Haven, Miss. At last year’s national championships, the OCCHS squad finished in seventh place. Members of this year’s squad include (front row from left) Kelsey Pollard, Maelyn Ray, Courtney Craddock, Rebecca Lund, Morgan Grisham, Marissa Howard, Chelsea Taylor, Lindsay Castellaw, Sabrina Clutter, Kelsey Craddock, Makayla Mayse, (second row from left) Morgan Rose, Amanda Lund, Tatum Cary, Mary Alex Williams, Shelly Pate, Kelsea Adams, Johnna Epperson, Adyee Armour, Catherine Clancy, Morgan Laster, (back row from left) Hannah Yates, Morgan Sisson, Kallie Arrington, Autumn Grimes, Madison Armstrong, Kaelyn Puckett, Breah Smith, Makayla Miller, Alyee Osborne, Lindsey Berner, Alicia Paige, Hailey Horner and Hannah Herren. The coaches for the OCCHS cheerleading squad are David Byars and Ashleigh Wilds.
