| A company which manufactures and markets candles and home fragrances has been given preliminary approval for state tax incentives to locate in Fulton County, Ky. MVP Group International Inc. was given preliminary approval Jan. 31 for maximum tax incentives authorized at $2 million and project cost listed as $5,249,400, according to a financial incentives database on the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development’s website. The site lists Kentucky’s financial incentives offered to interested businesses and industries approved for various programs and assistance through the state. The Fulton Leader reported this week that Fulton County-Hickman County Economic Development director Eddie Crittendon and Fulton Industrial Development Authority chairman Roger Kephart both had no comment when contacted about confirmation of MVP Group locating in the area. No one from the company could be reached by either The Messenger or The Leader for comment. MVP Group International, based in Charleston, S.C., is a complete home fragrance company that designs, manufactures and markets branded candles and home fragrance products in addition to its numerous private label offerings. The products are sold directly to national and international retailers across diverse multiple channels of distribution. MVP Group International is a parent company to many other divisions, according to the company’s website.
